ESG CONTROLLER

OverviewIn this role, you will be a member of Foot Locker s global Financial Reporting function and will report to the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer.
In this role, you will provide company-wide direction to ensure required ESG reporting is well-controlled and meets global regulatory frameworks and requirements.
In this newly created and highly-visible role, you will serve as a member of the Company s ESG leadership team, and collaborate with other members to set ESG strategy, drive initiatives, measure progress, and ensure compliance with all global ESG-related regulatory requirements, including CSRD.
You will serve as an advisor and liaison between Financial Reporting, Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, Product, Real Estate, Utilities, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Internal Audit/ Enterprise Risk Management to deliver rigorous, timely, and accurate reporting.
You will develop and steer new ways to measure value chain GHG emissions to better inform and align the Company s ESG strategy.
Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert on global ESG-related reporting matters within the Financial Reporting team.
Direct, and coordinate preparation of, ESG disclosures for inclusion in impact report, 10-K/Q /statutory reports, ensuring reporting aligned to requirements of various frameworks (e.
g.
, SASB, TCFD, CDP, SEC, and CSRD) and monitoring associated trends.
Lead the development of implementation and readiness plans for various global ESG reporting-related initiatives, such as the CSRD, SEC, state, and other global requirements Maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors to coordinate their roles in the review, oversight, and assurance to certain aspects of ESG reporting.
Research ESG disclosure trends, perform benchmarking analysis, and develop recommendations for further action.
Lead the selection and implementation of an ESG reporting data management platform to support ESG data collection, storage, approval, and reporting.
Present information to the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors, as appropriate, around all ESG items.
Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting/finance AND ESG experience.
Experience with, and knowledge of, U.
S.
GAAP and SEC reporting, corporate governance, internal controls, and other statutory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Strong grasp of the ESG regulatory and data landscape Knowledgeable in ESG-related disclosures and industry trends Familiarity with key sustainability frameworks and disclosures, including CSRD, TCFD, SASB, CDP, GRI, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals Experience with sustainability software implementations and solutions preferred#LI-TP1BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $145000 - $155000 / year.
This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
This role is also eligible to receive long term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
