### SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the creation of prototype exterior designs for capital and remodel projects, review exterior design proposals for one-off projects and manage exterior design and sign program for remodels. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
### ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Manage exterior design of Store Development's remodel program to ensure proposed designs are in accordance with approved scope and budget and consistent with approved building materials and colors.
Collaborate with outside Architectural firm on complex remodel exteriors to make recommendations for exterior design solution.
Communicate exterior design scope to construction team for implementation.
Manage Rite Aid's exterior sign program and all sign suppliers for new stores and remodels to ensure project schedules are met within cost parameters and in conformance with corporate design and quality standards.
Collaborate with and direct sign manufacturing companies to develop sign options for Rite Aid to review.
Communicate exterior sign scope to sign manufacturing companies and construction team after design is determined for implementation.
Support Director by managing special, high profile, interior and/or exterior remodel and new store projects to assure all design objectives are addressed on budget and on time.
Provide support to Director in development of new prototype building designs and new interior fixture design to ensure best in class results.

Valid driver''s license for business travel.
Bachelor''s degree (BA/BS) in Architecture or Interior Design, plus three (3) years'' experience in architecture, construction, interior design or sign manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's Degree (MA/MS) in Architecture preferred.
